It appears that the MacSlash domain no longer belongs to me. At this point, I'm not sure what is happening, but several people have sent me emails saying they can no longer reach MacSlash and I assume that something is propogating through the DNS system. There's obviously some mistake (I've owned and paid for MacSlash for quite awhile now), and It'll hopefully be easy (and fast) to sort everything out and get everything back to normal. In the meantime, you can reach me at macslash@earthlink.net. [update] If we go down, we'll be back on www.macslash.net in a few days until the rest is sorted out. If you'd like to recieve email updates, send me an email with "MacSlash status"[UPDATE] (macgeek): Please post in the thread below if you can get to the site.
UPDATE: [J] macslash.net and macslash.org have been pointed to the correct DNS servers and once that begins to propogate I will reconfigure Slash to use macslash.net. When that happens .org, .net and possibly .com will load pages but the links will be absolute links using www.macslash.net.
UPDATE: [J] (2002-05-30 22:29:55 GMT) Ben, who is driving somewhere between Kentucky and Washington D.C., just received a call from a V.P. at Dotster who said that his people have been receiving A LOT of emails from you guys. He is personally looking into the problem and has assured us that he will do everything in his power to get this problem corrected. If it ends up being something that Dotster cannot assist us with we have already received an offer for Pro-Bono work from a lawyer who works with domain disputes all of the time. If worst comes to worst we'll be meeting with ICANN soon.
